Timothy DiSabato is a Risk and Modeling Consultant at ValuRisk Partners, where he focuses on model validation and modeling advisory projects, with an emphasis on asset-liability management (ALM) and liquidity risk models for banks and credit unions.

Prior to joining ValuRisk Partners, Tim spent several years at a Colorado-based bank, where he was directly responsible for the institution’s ALM and liquidity stress testing models. During his tenure, he worked extensively in Moody’s ZM and later led the bank’s migration to the Empyrean platform, owning the end-to-end implementation of the ALM and liquidity modeling framework prior to the bank’s acquisition. His responsibilities included data mapping and validation, configuration of model functionality and settings, development of modeling assumptions and comprehensive model documentation, and execution of parallel testing to support management, audit, and regulatory review. Tim brings a practitioner’s perspective to both model validation and modeling consulting engagements. Having served as a first-line model owner, he understands how models are built, implemented, and used in practice, as well as the challenges institutions face in maintaining defensible assumptions, sound governance, and effective ongoing monitoring. At ValuRisk Partners, Tim supports clients through independent model validations and targeted modeling advisory work, helping institutions strengthen confidence in their models while meeting regulatory expectations in a clear, practical, and right-sized manner. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Northern Colorado and is a Financial Risk Manager (FRM®), certified by GARP.
