Josh Salzberg is the Founder & CEO of ValuRisk Partners. With nearly 25 years of experience in banking and financial services, Josh brings deep expertise across treasury risk, credit risk, and model risk management.

Prior to founding ValuRisk Partners, Josh spent 12 years building and leading a highly successful model validation practice - driving business development, designing and refining service offerings, overseeing all product deliverables, hiring and training specialized talent, and creating efficient, scalable processes to serve a wide range of financial institutions. Prior to that, Josh held roles in treasury and credit risk modeling at community and regional banks, as well as a fixed income broker-dealer. Founding ValuRisk Partners is a natural evolution of this work, allowing Josh to continue delivering high-quality validation services while introducing new levels of flexibility, customization, and value tailored to client needs. Clients consistently trust Josh to deliver what’s promised - on time, efficiently, and with a high standard of quality. Josh is known for his ability to navigate the complex dynamics between model owners and second-line model risk management teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring productive, constructive outcomes. Josh holds an MBA in Finance from the Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University and a BA in Talmudic Law from Ner Israel College.
